Lexie's New Clothes

Lexie's Close Up
New outfit from Grandma Esquibel
For Lexie's birthday Grandma and Grandpa Esquibel got Lexie some of the cutest outfits. They are great because you can interchange them into many outfits. This is just one of the combos and she just looked so cute. Such summer colors has me wishing for summer and the pool. Thank you so much Grandma Esquibel for the cute clothes. She just can't get any cuter.

Lexie's Birthday Party

Lexie with her brothers on her birthday
Wow, a princess card from Grandma!!
Lexie has turned three!!! She thinks she is so big now and she actually says such surprising things at times. She had a great birthday at Grandma's house. I don't do a friend birthday till they get into school, but she enjoyed the attention all the same. She got many fun presents. A princess Etch-A-Scetch from Danielle, A battery operated dog from Samm and James, A barbie from Grandma Rollins, some cute summer clothes from Grandma and Grandpa Esquibel and then some bath toys and a Big Wheel from mom and dad. I will have to post pictures of her riding her new bike as soon as we put it together. She is just getting so big on me.

Logan's Birthday Party

Logan's make shift birthday cake (I messed the first one)
The kids grabbing candy after Spongebob exploded
Pulling strings on Spongebob
Logan eating his cake and loving being six
Happy Birthday Big Blue Eyes!!! Logan has arrived at age six and I could not be more proud. He is already reading and he loves playing with friends. His party was great fun. We had a Spongebob pinata and the presents were great. Thanks to all his friends who came. The cake was not bad either I might add. I was looking at him today and could not believe that he is six already. I can still see him crawling down the hall of our little apartment in Rexburg. Time is just flying by. Multiply by two and he will be 12. This just makes me realize that I need to enjoy every second of him and love all the days that he is six this year. I love my big Logan, who used to be my little Logan.

Shake Your Groove Thang

Yesterday Gabe was giving us a taste of his dancing skills. The kids loves to sing in the back of our van everywhere we go. If it is a song he really likes he tells me to turn it up and he just goes to town. He also loves to dance. In the store if there is music I catch him dancing to the beat. It is so cute and so funny. I actually got him to let me capture it on camera. So here is Gabe shaking his groove thang.

Sunday after church and dinner, grandma had a special surprise for the grand kids. She had made egg jigglers and made eggs with a whip cream nest for them. They thought it was the coolest thing ever, and they of course made a huge mess. I am so glad that my mom is so creative and makes the holidays even more memorable for my kids. Thanks mom.

Lexie's Easter Dress

Full view of cute Lexie
Lexie up close with her cute hat
Lexie had such a cute Easter dress this year. She just looked too adorable to me. I think it might be because she is getting older and looking more like a soon to be three year old. Thanks to grandma Rollins who supplied the cute hat. It just made the outfit even more adorable. She actually loved the hat and wore it the whole time. I had to work so I wasn't able to go to church, but with all the sugar they consumed during the day, Corey said they were bouncing off the pew the whole time.

Easter Morning

All three on Easter morning

The loot they enjoyed
I thought for once maybe the kids would sleep in, but sure enough Gabe woke up at 5:30am and Corey had to tell him to go back to sleep. We did actually get to sleep till 7am after that, which is great for our kids. They were so excited when they woke up. Gabe was thinking it was going to be like Christmas, and I had to explain to him it was much smaller scale than that. But they were all excited to get their Easter buckets and their toy. The boys got the inflatable punching bags, which deflated soon after they played with them. Lexie got her magic wand that makes noise. Plus the Easter bunny laid jelly beans all over the house and they got to look for those and put them in their buckets. It was a laid back Easter this year, but the kids really enjoyed it all the same.

Dentist Visit

Watching and Waiting
Uh, no suction please
All done, I did it!!
Logan holding still for the polish
Logan all done, he always does so well
Sitting in the chair for the first time
Umm, not so sure about this
Brusha Brusha Brusha

Lexie had her first appointment with the dentist on Thursday. She was so excited to finally go to the dentist like the boys have for the past couple of times. Our dentist is this little cute old man named Doctor Wallis. He still has all the old equipment, but he is so nice and so gentle with the kids. The hygienist just loves our kids and gives them all kinds of presents. Lexie was really excited at first, but when the suction came into play she was all done. Logan had an appointment as well and he always does so well. He holds still and his teeth are beautiful. Except he grinds his teeth at night and they are really wearing down. Good thing they are his baby teeth. He also has his first loose tooth in the front and he is so excited about that. I also had my teeth cleaned and once again had no cavities. I have never had to get one filled by him yet, and he did not forget to point this out. I think Corey might be a little jealous.

Sexy Lexie

Well what can I say except my little Lexie has an eye for fashion. I left my socks out and she comes into the kitchen with this cool get up. She just looked so cute with her undies on and these huge black socks. The face was for extra appeal. I am so proud that she is taking after her father in the coolness factor.

Easter Egg Hunt

Lining up for the big event

Today my sister-in-law Sally came over with my nieces and nephew for our annual Easter Egg hunt. It was such a nice day for it too. Sunny and in the 70's, you just couldn't ask for more. Sally and I just hid the eggs everywhere and let them loose. The kids gathered and then indulged in everything. There was nothing left, they ate all that candy. Of course dinner would be out of the question tonight. I also have to say sorry to Sally who is trying not to eat dairy because poor baby Macey does not do well with it. So she had to not only watch the kids eat, but me as well. We had so much fun and the kids played outside for a couple of hours. They also got really muddy within that time. We are so lucky to have family near by.

Jumping on our new tramp

Lexie just happy to be on two feet

A couple of weeks ago now, there was a brother in our ward who wanted to give away his old trampoline. When I first heard I told Corey it was probably in bad shape. But when he went to go look at it, it was actually in stellar condition. We were both excited to get a trampoline for free, and the kids were just happy to get one. They have been out there everyday now, just jumping away. At least this way they are getting some much needed exercise and time away from the xbox. And for some reason it attracts kids for miles around. I thought tramps were old news, but apparently kids still love them. I even go out and jump a little bit, even though I have peed my pants a couple of times. Having kids sure weakens those muscles. I guess I should catch up on my kegales. Sorry if I spelled that wrong.

Surviving The Flood

We have sunshine here in Tulsa, OK finally. The rain started Monday night and kept coming all day yesterday and then into the night again. I have never seen so much rain in my life. It sounded like it was going to come through my roof at times. Our backyard has very poor drainage and I just kept having these visions of a wet house after the backup. But the water has already started to recede, and the sun is out once more. Tomorrow and Friday promise sunshine and in the 70's, so hopefully we will dry out before more rain hits. I am so grateful that we didn't have any damages and that we were all kept safe. Now if we can just get Corey home from Miami, with all the recent flight delays. We are hoping for tonight so we will see how that goes.

What a Horrible Day!!

Could today get any worse you ask? Well I sure hope the answer is no. Today started out great which deceived me for sure. I had to take the kids to the gym with me because Danielle is out of town (she watches my kids for me usually.) So I hooked up the xbox to one of the TV's there and they did great. I exercised for two hours straight without a complaint and I didn't have to stop once. After that I had to get my tags renewed on my car so I took the kids inside and was busy filling out the check when I hear screaming and lots of noise. I turn around to find Lexie scaling the couch and the boys going at it on the floor. I was so mad, and mainly embarrassed so we exited and I told the boys as punishment they couldn't play with the boys on our street today. So then after we are home and settled again I find that Lexie has destroyed the cover to one of the videos that belongs to the library. Then I find Gabe in the bathroom and he had gone and peed on the floor. yes folks, not even close to the toilet. Opposite side as a matter of fact. When I asked him why he did it, his response. "I got confused". What??? Like you haven't been peeing in the same place for a couple of years now. So I had to clean that up to only find that the handle on the toilet broke off and that Lexie has been walking around the house with soap all over her hands smelling it. I bought watermelon hand soap and she keeps putting it on her hands and not washing it off. She just walks around with slimy hands touching everything. So at almost three I have to hide the hand soap from her. And the icing on the cake...Corey is in Miami till Wednesday night soaking up the sun and 80 degree weather. Fair you say...hmm I think not.

Cute layout, stinkin box

Look at this cute summer inspired template I found. But wouldn't you know it there is a photo box that was deleted and I don't know how to get rid of it. Can someone please help me? I have no idea where the code is or how to get it off. Anyone, Anyone? I also accidentally deleted every one's blogspot address, so if you could please re gift them to me I would appreciate. I will work on this later.

Fun in the Sun

Gabe and mom on the slide...good shot Logan
Yesterday it was so nice and warm. I think that mother nature is tempting us with spring early this year. It got to 80 degrees and it was sunny and beautiful. A couple of mom's from our ward got together and our kids played. It was so much fun to sit and relax and then watch the kids play together. Today is nice as well, but there is too much to do to go back to the park. This would include mopping my really dirty kitchen floor. I am so excited for spring and summer though. Please hurry!!!

Boiled Peanuts

I am a southern girl at heart so you can imagine how excited I was to boil my own peanuts and eat them. It took me almost five hours to boil them, and even then they could have gone for another hour just fine. I was impatient and took them off anyways. They tasted so good. So salty and soft. If you have never had a boiled peanut, you are really missing out. Corey was not so hot about them, but the kids sure liked them. I made a whole bag so I can freeze them and save them for a later treat. Gotta love that southern food.

Getting excited to dye eggs

Corey got a little hungry

Just being the welcoming hostess
We decided to dye Easter eggs for FHE. Easter has sure snuck up on mom this year. I didn't realize how close it was. The kids loved doing this. They thought it was so neat to turn the eggs colors and then stick eyes and mouths on them. They did a really good job, and after all of that they wanted to keep their eggs in their bedrooms. I had to explain to them this would not be a great idea, so we stored them in our fridge for later. I love a good hard boiled egg so I should be set for at least couple of weeks.
