Woolaroc- Part 2 Museum

After the Mountain Men camp we went up to the main area that has a lodge, a museum and a bunch of animals that you can pet. So we had a picnic lunch and just looked around at all the cool stuff. It really was a fun day and the kids got really upset when it was time to go.

Our family picture which turned out really good.
Had to get a picture of these really shrunken heads. I promise they are real and it even says how they did it. Kind of freaky to think those used to be real human heads!!

Woolaroc-Part 1 Mountain Man Camp

On Saturday we went to a place called Woolaroc with my parents and my Aunt and Uncle who were visiting. It is up by Bartlesville and was really neat. They have a Mountain Man camp there during the summer where the men live there and do it like they would a long time ago. They had these shabby lean-tos and they made everything they used. It was really impressive to see, but man did they stink. I guess living like that does have it's downers with no bathing facilities. The kids loved it and we all had fun trying the different activities. There was this rope that was hanging from a huge tree that everyone was swinging on. We also got to shoot an old powder rifle and Corey actually hit the barrel that was a ways off. I guess Call of Duty is helping his aim. We also got to throw hatchets at some logs. I thought I did pretty well, but how can you go wrong with just chucking something at a log.
As a side note on the way up we were following my dad, and if you ever have to follow my Dad you know there are no extra stops. So Logan of course has to pee about 3/4 of the way there. He is just trying to hold it and I finally tell him to pee in Gabe's empty cup from QT. This cup is huge and I figure if he can't hit that he can't hit anything. Well he ends up peeing on everything but in the cup. Urine was on the back of the seat, on the floor, and his pants. I thought I even spied some on the window. So Corey was really mad, I was trying not to laugh at Logan who couldn't seem to get himself together and Gabe was just shocked. But luckily I had some antibacterial wipes in the van and we wiped up as good as possible. Don't worry when we got home we clean it really well.

Logan throwing the hatchet
The kids standing in front of one of the tents.
Me shooting the powder rifle.
Lexie swinging on the rope. She actually made a Tarzan sound.
Lexie shooting the gun, don't worry it was just a cap
Lexie really did throw a hatchet, but it didn't go too far
Logan swinging, he hated it.
Logan shooting his cap gun.

Gabe just looked so cute I had to post
Gabe loved the rope and just kept getting higher and higher
Gabe shooting, he thought he got the Turkey
Look at that stance, he actually threw pretty well.
How cute is this? My dad was holding Lexie's hand and I had to get a picture.

School supplies...OUCH

I went and bought school supplies today for the boys....wow it was 100 bucks for all the stuff that was on the list. I get a little upset when my child is asked to bring 8 glue sticks and 5 packages of pencils. I realize that some kids don't bring anything and so they have to divide everything, but come on. Do I have to supply all the kids in Coweta with school supplies? And on the list they have the nerve to write they want the name brand crayons or the expensive zip-lock baggies. Well dream on Southside all you get from me is the generic.

I adopted this fish from our friends the Bowens when they moved to Georgia. This is the only pet that Corey will let me have at this time. So I just finished cleaning his bowl out and putting him back in his home. We just call him Mr. Fishy because I couldn't think of anything crazy or fun. The kids have forgotten he is even there anymore, so I feed him and clean him. Sure isn't a dog, but for now I guess that will have to do.

First Doctors Visit

Just to warn everyone that there might be alot of blogs regarding my pregnancy. Sorry if I am boring anyone. I had my first official doctors appointment today. To my surprise my doctor has started doing ultrasounds in the doctors office at each visit. So I got all excited to see my little peanut and low and behold we couldn't see a thing. I don't know what I expected at 8 weeks. But granted it is the size of a bean it was no wonder. Plus my bladder was empty because I didn't know I was getting it done. And it was an external one so that made it even worse. So all that hype and nothing. And then on top of that I had to get my pap smear and he had to physically feel my uterus to see if I really was 8 weeks along. I am still sore. Then the blood work and the upcoming payment of the epidural in full before hand. See Corey and I have never paid anything on our prior kids, so this is all new to us. I guess we will get the shock once all the bills start rolling in. But I just smile and tell myself one little day at a time. Take them as they come. I did get an award letter in the mail today telling me that I had been award full summer tuition wavier. So we will get all of my tuition money back for this summer. How cool is that. So all in all, it was an eventful day. Thanks to Danielle for watching my kids so I didn't have to lug them in with me.

Things that make you go BLAH

So I am sure no one wants to hear gross stories about how things are going, but this is not too bad. I have not thrown up yet...yeah. But I have the worst food aversion I have ever had. Food just on general sounds really gross to me and I have to force myself to eat. I made chicken the other night and couldn't go near it for fear that I would up chuck. So last night one of Corey's freighters came into town and took us out to eat at Flemings..this really expensive nice steakhouse. I was so worried that my stomach wouldn't behave and I wouldn't be able to eat. But after one bite of my steak my stomach cooperated and I actually was hungry for the first time in days. The steak was the best I ever had and the dessert was awesome. We will probably never go back again unless someone is willing to pay that exuberant price for us. Sorry no pictures, it was really nice and I didn't want to look too white trash with the richies.

Announcement

Ok, so I was going to hold off on this, but the cat got out of the bag and like mom says you defiantly can't keep this secret for too long. So I decided to go ahead and let everyone know....

We are expecting our number four....

That is right, I am pregnant yet again. We were both shocked when it happened so quickly after getting off the birth control, but this time is as good as any. I am still early on, almost 7 weeks but everything is normal so far. Except I haven't gotten sick yet, a little bit of a sour stomach but that is about it. Well and the indigestion, but that might be all the hamburgers I consumed this weekend. That would be enough to make anyone have major stomach issues. I am due at the end of February and we are excited to have our last one. So I will keep you posted with this. I will keep posting pictures of my growing abdomen and everything else that grows with it.

Lexie's Obsession With Soap

I will be the first to admit that I like that fresh feeling from just taking a shower and smelling like soap. I never had issues with soap with the boys. They use it to wash their hands and then it is forgotten. Well my daughter has a secret love affair with soap. I find her in the bathroom with the bottle of soap just pumping away. There is soap everywhere, on her hands, feet, hair. I have to hide the hand soap up on shelves to keep her at bay. Then tonight I go to get her all dried off after her bath and she looks at me and says, "Mom, I am sorry about the soap in the bathtub." I go look and sure enough she dumped the whole bottle of conditioner in the bottom of the tub. I was wondering why she felt so slimy. I just hope that she will grow out of this phase, and not have a lasting addiction.

The Last Day

What a sad day this was. We had to leave the resort at 12:20, so of course we were up early trying to get the most out of our last day. The only other early birds were my parents. The other couples like to sleep in, but I have never been one to do that. So my lovely husband (who also likes to sleep in) got up to be with me. What a sweetie. We walked down on the rocks by the ocean and gathered shells for the kids. It was so beautiful and a nice morning to be with my hubby. We ate breakfast alone and we just walked around taking pictures. The last half of the day was long and the flights seem to take forever, but it was an experience I will never forget, and we are already saving to go again in a couple of years.

I am gearing up for the buffet..can't you tell
Gathering shells along the rocks
There was no beach, just rocks that dropped off into the ocean
They had these cute little hermit crabs that I loved to pick up and hold. We used to get them from the beach in NC..it brought back memories
The imprint of the corral that used to live on the rocks.
The flags tell you when it gets dangerous, but of course my husband ignored them
