I know he didn't mean to

I actually have a good one for the blog challenge today. Day 13- a letter to someone who has hurt you recently Dear Bag Boy at Martins, I know you are just trying to help and be friendly. Although this is what I tell myself as you continue to walk me out to my car every time I come to visit. Not that I don't appreciate the extra help. It makes loading the car much faster. But when you stare at me and then tell me how beautiful I am I do feel a little creeped out. I know that you have some kind of disability so I don't take it to heart too much. And no offense to you, but I would just like it once if a guy who was not in his 50's or has a disability would hit on me so I would know that at least I have some sort of redeeming quality. Thanks for your understanding, Kory Jane

Oh Kory Jane - I know that your husband compliments you all the time. That is the only person that matters anyway. Of course you know your mama thinks you are beautiful inside and out, so with that being said - no other opinions matter or count.

Melissa always comments on how beautiful you look. More about you than me actually....

LOL. It is true. I do think you are very pretty. And I think Beau is very beautiful too ;) But, I know whatcha mean, it does feel good to have a stranger (not creepy) compliment you.

You guys are funny. I wasn't taking it too serious, I just thought it was a little creepy. But then I felt guilty for feelin creepy because he had a disability. But thanks a lot Melissa. I feel better already!! When are you guys going to come and visit us? We would love to have you.

I know how you feel. It seems like the only time I ever get hit on is at a gas station, and even that hasn't happened in quite some time. Pregnant bellies tend to do that to a girl though. Now all I get is other women telling me how cute I am.

I am so socially awkward that I don't even let the baggers help me to my car. All I have to do is pull my car up to the loading zone and they will be there waiting with my cart and load my car for me while I sit in the car, but I don't let them ever, because I am not comfortable with help or with people. It will be 30 below and I have three kids with me and they look at me like I am nuts for refusing help, but I just can't do it. So...at least you are supporting him as he does his job. And hey, a compliment is a compliment no matter who it comes from, right? Although I agree, slightly awkward when you are just trying to load your groceries.

Kory you truly are beautiful. I just told Jason the other day how I always looked up to my big sister and how beautiful you are. All of the other guys are just too intimidated. I emphasize with you about the guys with disabilities. In high school I was always nice to the guys with disabilities and they would always try to hold my hand and give me dandelions. I even had a stocker while I worked at flying J who had a disability.

The difference Stacey is you are the nicest person I have ever known (and that is the truth) and so it comes easier for you to be comfortable around people with disabilities I think. I just don't know how to act or treat them. I guess I will just keep trying to be nice, but if he tries to pinch my butt I gotta draw the line.

Gotta say that if you have what seems like a normal within age range guy tell you you're really pretty or some other sort of compliment, in particularly if you are alone or within ear shot of only each other, then I see that as fishy too...he's feeling out your willingness to particpate in inappropriate flirting.
Sorry. soap box.
You are beautiful Kory Jane. HE just couldn't help himself:)
