What's Up

Tonight on the way home from my mom's house I turn around the there is Lexie with Logan's hat on and just smiling. I had to take a picture it was so cute. And of course I have to share.

Church Picnic

On Saturday night we went way way way out in the country to someone in our Ward to have a picnic. If you live here you know that our ward boundries are huge. It took us about 40 minutes to get to this house from Coweta. But it was so beautiful with a small pond and dogs running around. There were lots of outdoor activities for us and the kids. And of course there was a BBQ on top of that. We had the best time and the kids really loved it.

Lexie was not shy about running around getting into the muck of things. I always had to keep on eye out to make sure that she was ok most of the time. But with lots of friends there it made it easy to enjoy myself. This is Lexie and her good friend Riley. We hang out alot and they just loved this little puppy. They would follow it around everywhere.

Logan had a lot of fun with the boys his age there. There was even a pond where they went fishing with little poles. This is Logan posing for me by the pond. Once again we have that cheese smile that we try for him not to do.

Lexie and Gabe also tried at the fishing deal. Daddy was a big help with the wonderful Barbie pole that we had. The only kid to really catch anything was Gabe. It was tiny and we had to of course throw it back. But he was really proud of himself. I didn't get a picture because it took so long and I found myself somewhere else taking pictures.

They had this little juniper jump there and Lexie liked it only if there were no other kids playing. So we finally found a time to be alone and all she did was press her face up against the mesh. But she thought she was big stuff.

Gabe was such a stud while we were there. I turned around and saw that he had climed onboard the tire swing with these two girls and was having a good old time. You can see him smiling. He can be a real flirt when he wants to be. All those girls out there better watch out.

Here is Gabe and Logan doing some badmitton. They couldn't really hit the little birdie with the rackets so they were playing with a small beach ball instead.

I tried to show the boys how to play fetch with the dog and the frisbee, but they didn't know how to react with the dog. When you were holding the frisbee and running the dog would run after you and try to tackle you. This kinda scared both of them. They are not used to dogs that much.

Logan sliding down the slide

Lexie on the swing, she didn't want to get off. I had to keep bribbing her to have her go somewhere else.

Picture Day

Well today we finally got family pictures done. Last time we had them done was when Lexie was only two months old. So we were long overdue. We went to Super Target's Studio and the photographer was so wonderful with the kids. We actually got a lot of cute photos taken. I had a hard time picking because there were so many cute ones. Corey actually ordered a really large print for our living room. I ordered the online viewing package, but it won't be available for about 10 days. So I will keep everyone posted so you can check them out online. As a treat for being so good, because they all really enjoyed themselves, we went to IHOP for lunch. They ate so many pancakes I thought we would have to order another stack. But after eating a huge stack themselves along with dad's french toast we just told them that was all. Sorry I forgot my camera so I couldn't take a picture of that.

Lunch with Dad

Since Corey couldn't be there for Logan's graduation, he wanted me to meet him for lunch to celebrate. The kids were so excited to go and see dad at lunch time. I guess eating chicken nuggets helped as well. I am truly blessed to have such a beautiful family.

Pre-K Graduate

Today was Logan's Pre-K graduation at school. It was so fun to go to the assembly and see the little program that they had. They sang songs and then of course walked the stage. Logan will be in the class of 2020, which just seems so very far away. It was hard to really pay close attention with Gabe and Lexie, plus there were so many people there I was thinking does anyone work around here!! Logan has loved school and he can't wait to be a big Kindergarten student next year.

If you notice Logan is the little head poking out on the front row. He kept waving and smiling at me the whole time. It was really cute when they threw there little grad hats in the air when it was all down.

Logan was so happy to see that both his brother and sister had come to watch him. I really am proud of him and how well he treats others. He always wants to help and is quick to try and dry his little sisters tears. I was so blessed to get such a wonderful son.

I wanted a picture with Logan and Gabe was the only one there who I could have take the picture. So that is why it was a funny color. He covered the flash with his hand. I tried to lighten it, but it looks almost black and white. But at least this way you can see our faces. By the way, I know that I look rough, but it was pouring rain outside and I got a little wet going there... ;)

Morning Walk

This morning we decided to go for an early Saturday morning walk. It was a little cool with a light breeze. It was beautiful. So we packed up the double stroller and let Logan ride his bike around the neighborhood. He did really well. He only wrecked once and that was when he was busy looking at some puppies. It was a great start to our weekend together.

CANCUN

Ah finally some good news. My parents just got back from one of their weekly visits to Cancun and they had some WONDERFUL news for us. They had decided while they were there that next year at this time they are going to take all of their kids and spouses to Cancun. I can't tell you how excited that made me feel. Corey says I need to calm down because I have a whole year, but I have never left the country before, much less to a tropical paradise. So already I am thinking of the prep work that needs to be done like passports. Plus we have to find someone to watch our kids for a week while we are gone. This seems to be the most daunting task for me. But I am just going to think of those sandy beaches and all the tours we plan on taking. So for now I will stop talking about it, but I can't promise I won't stop thinking about it!!

What a week!!!

Boy have things been crazy this past week. I haven't posted as much as I usually do, but for good reason. Last Wednesday all three of my kids got the flu. Now I have had one kid sick and throwing up. But you should have seen me Wednesday with three kids throwing up. Plus it is so much harder when one is only two and has a hard time hitting anything but the floor. So I sat on the couch all day playing catch with a big bowl!! Then on Thursday night Logan was still throwing up and so I got up to go change his bed because he had thrown up and as I was getting out of bed I started heaving. Yep I actually caught it too!! Corey had to work after midnight at his proctor job so I was all by myself. So I was crawling around the house changing sheets and getting Logan situated. I kept having to go to the bathroom for my own needs and then having to find Logan again. It made for a really bed night. Go figure that Corey got it Saturday night and had to miss church. Although I don't think he was too heart broken over it. Plus as you know I started potty training Lexie on Wednesday before she got the throw up symptoms. So it was a crazy week. I am hoping this weekend will be more relaxed and we can just chill. Whew.

FINALLY

So we have finally conquered the toilet. She tells me now every time she has to go. I am so happy. Although I had to go grocery shopping today with all three kids and of course she had to go about every 15 minutes. So it took a lot longer than normal. But we sure saved on our grocery bill not having diapers included on there. I am so proud of her. She still has accidents at night, so I am trying to work on that. But it took exactly a week to get her all set. What a cutie.

Success!!

Finally, she managed to go poop in her potty this morning. She has been holding it for two days now so I knew it had to be time. So we made her eat breakfast on her potty and it happened. We were so excited. Hopefully we made such a big deal about it that she will continue to want to use the potty. Hopefully she will grasp onto going pee in the toilet as well. I will keep you updated. Looks like three days has turned into more than that, but hey I guess you can't have everything.

Hats Off

Before Grandpa Rollins left for Cancun (yes I think that isn't fair either) he gave both boys a hat. I have bought hats for the boys before, but they never wanted to wear them. But since it was Grandpa who gave them the hats, they wear them all the time. They even wear them to bed. They think they are the best things ever. Oh, and for Grandma and Grandpa Esquibel who bought some magazines for Logan to get his Spongebob T-shirt, this picture is for you also. He loves his Spongebob shirt and wears it whenever it is clean. I have to actually hide it under his other shirts just so he doesn't wear it every other day.

Oh NO!!

OK, so the first day of potty training has been HORRIBLE!!! I guess that is a common response though from the first day in action. I will say at least she tells me she has to pee before she actually pees on the floor. So now we just have to concentrate on holding it till we get to the potty. The worst part is she is afraid to poop in the toilet. She had to go and she would keep telling me she had to go poo poo and then she would cry when I put her on the toilet. This went on all morning. I tried to keep a close eye on her, because I knew what would happen. I finally got a second to eat and that is when she hid in her room, closed the door and pooped all over the floor. Yup, I got the mother load all over my carpet. What a disaster. I made her take a quick cold bath because I had a girlfriend who that worked for. So she finally was so exhausted, along with mom, that she fell asleep. So day one has not been really good. But hopefully in a week or so I will look back and laugh at this...but I am not laughing now!!

Potty Training here we come!!

Well I have finally decided to take a leap and try the potty training with Lexie. Today was our first day without diapers and I can honestly say I am baffled. She only had to pee once and she told me as she was going. I tried to get her to drink more, but man that girl has one big bladder. She did have a poop accident, but she seemed to understand that it was gross and belonged in her new potty chair. Thanks to my brother and sister-in-law who sent me the program to potty train in three days. So far so good. I am really hoping this will be easy for me. This will be the first time since Logan was born that I haven't had someone in diapers. But I can say it will be nice to get everyone using the tolit. When she finally has a success maybe I can get a picture. I will keep you updated.

Logans Celebration

Yesterday we went out to eat to celebrate Corey's Promotion at work. We are just so proud of him and how fast he is moving up in his company. I guess they know a good man when they see one. We went to Logans Steakhouse and it was so much fun. Usually when we take the kids out to eat it is more of a hassle then fun. But now that the boys are getting older it was so much better than I could have expected. Of course they have the buckets of peanuts on the tables that you can eat and throw the shells on the floor. The boys thought this was a rare treat. They really liked eating the nuts and just throwing the shells all over the place. I think it kept them occupied until the food got there. Little Lexie decided she wanted to try some peanuts while we weren't looking. She didn't understand that you have to take the shell off. We look over and we see her gnawing away at a whole peanut in her mouth. But she didn't seem to mind and even put in a few mmm's.

Then it was time for the rolls and our dishes to come out. The boys ate everything and Lexie just ate from every one's plate. We took pictures of the kids, but we had no one to take a picture of us. Logan said he could do it. He did a really good job. I guess I don't let him do enough around here!!

Everyone was so full afterwards. Both boys had to use the bathroom while we were there. I have not been eating big like that for awhile now, so mom was extremely sick leaving. But it was something special worth celebrating. So we took a finale picture in front of the fire. Notice how happy the kids are. Gabe kept asking if we could go to another store like that one and get some dessert. That kid could eat all day. But things are going so well for us we are truly blessed.
