Pretty Low Key

I wish I could say that we had this very eventful Memorial Day, but we just lay low basically. I know that I shouldn't complain, but I always assume that my holidays will be packed with non-stop fun. So I basically set myself up for failure if I am not busy 100 percent of the time. We did have fun just being together and I love when Corey is around. It seems to make my day easier. That might be because he helps to entertain two rowdy boys and helps to feed a needy baby. But here are some things that we did do this weekend.

This should have been a post all by itself, but I like to consolidate. Lexie decided on Friday to try and look beautiful with my make-up. She was really going at it. I think she was really trying out for the circus by the looks of it. Once I got her to look in the mirror, she agreed that we needed to touch up the make-up just a tad.

On Saturday I talked Corey into going to the zoo. We bought year passes this time, so anyone else who has them let me know and we can meet up. Corey HATEs the zoo. He Hates animals in general. This is just like a living hell for him. Looking at animals non-stop in the heat. But he was a good sport and didn't rush us to leave. The kids really love looking at all the different types of animals there are in the world. Logan was so fascinated by everything and he was reading everything that he could find around the displays. I told Corey I realized how grown up he has become and it kinda made me sad a little bit. But it was a great day and the weather was wonderful.

Sitting with the tigers outside the entrance.
Everyone getting ready to go into the zoo.

They finally got another cut-out for pictures. I got tired of having so many monkey pictures. We are a bunch of animals for sure.

Hailey Is 3 Months Old!!!

I have to admit, that before we decided to have Hailey I was content with three kids. Corey really wanted one more and so I decided to go ahead and have another one. I can't tell you how grateful I am that we had Hailey. What a wonderful way to bring our little family closer. With the three other kids getting older, this has been a great way to bring us all together. They adore her and always help me out. I can't believe that Hailey is already three months old. Time has just flown by. I still remember everything that happened at the hospital and I keep thinking before I know it she will be 6 months old. I want to enjoy her as much as possible, so I thought I would do a blog just about my little angel. Here are some things that I have discovered about her so far.
Oh how you love attention. And you know just how to get it. Whine and cry and sure enough mom will pick you up or your brother/sister will talk to you. But how can you get annoyed with a smile like that. You can pretty much squeeze a smile out of her anytime as long as you pay her some attention.

Mom loves to cuddle, but you sure don't. Just try and rock her to sleep and all you get is wiggling and whining. Come to find out all you have to do is lay me on my back in my crib and I will go to sleep. Mom really shouldn't complain about that...but every once in awhile she really wants to snuggle with me.

I love sitting up already. When mom holds me she knows I like to stand up for the most part. This can get very tiring for mom, but sometimes anything to keep me happy works. Of course leaning on the end of the couch works sometimes too.

I have the beginning of curls on the top of my head. Just the hair on top seems to grow and with that wave it just sticks right up. When mom adds gel right after my bath I can get really curly.

I get that I look like Sandra Bullock a lot, but Hailey seems to get the "she looks like a Cabbage Patch Doll." So I thought we would see a side by side resemblance. I guess I can see it...I mean those cheeks are ridiculous.

So here is to three wonderful months already. I am so excited to keep discovering so many different things about Hailey as she continues to get older. Even though she can be a stinker, I can't help but fall for her every whim. I always thought she would wrap dad, but I believe she has her mom wrapped just as much.
*Please disregard how horrible I look in this picture. I didn't do much with myself today.

Dentist Time

I know there are so many people who are afraid of the dentist, but thanks to my parents and going to the dentist a lot growing up I am not at all afraid to go. In fact I think nothing feels better than clean teeth. I also had my share of braces (twice) and an oral surgery to get used to people working in my mouth. Today was my turn to go and since our little dentist here in Coweta lost his hygienist, I had to look elsewhere. My mom recommended her Dentist, Dr. Patel, and it was awesome. she cleaned my teeth in record time and I am proud to say that not only did I have no cavities and little tarter, Lexie and Logan had no cavities and hardly any tarter as well. I wish I could say it was due to their oral hygiene, because usually we go a couple of days without brushing if I don't keep on them. Plus we miss bedtime brushing a lot. I plan on enforcing this rule more often, just because I don't want my kids not having been taught how to take care of their teeth. So as an ending I want to thank my Dad for my excellent teeth which seem to repel tarter and cavities!!!

Mother's Day

HAPPY MOTHER'S DAY EVERYONE!!

I had a very nice Mother's Day. I really celebrated a bit early. Corey watched the kids and I got to go to Ross's to go shopping for myself. I really enjoyed it. I haven't wanted to buy clothes because I still have some weight to lose, but I really needed some motivation. It really was nice and I took my mom along with me. Then on Sunday it was buys and although I did get a nice card from the kids I felt like it was more of a normal day for me. Corey is really not into holidays and so I know I can't expect a huge holiday. But at the same time, it makes it nice on Father's Day and other such holidays to relax a bit and know nothing much is expected. They highlight was of course the chocolates they give out at church. I enjoyed those way too much. But I have attached a picture of one of the outfits I bought. I really like it.

Fingernail Painting Day

Lexie has been bugging me about painting her nails FOREVER now. So I finally agreed to get her done. Of course we painted hers all nice and inside the lines. She really wanted to paint mom's so I graciously let her go at it on my toes. I think I got more on my actual toes instead of my toenails, but hey she had a blast doing it. She just kept telling me to hold still like that would make a difference in the job. After that it turned into this photo shoot. Lexie kept wanting to take pictures and so we did. I guess that is why they make fingernail polish remover.

See, look at all that pink paint on my toes.

Lexie took this of Hailey and I. Of course Hailey is not looking.

Just us girls on the self timer.

Our feet together.

Lexie with her fingernails. She is such a girl.

Flashback

I was going through my old pictures and videos trying to get copies made so I can erase them off my hard drive. I found some really cute pictures that I had forgotten about. Plus I found this great video of James about two years ago at the 4th of July at my parents golf course. So just browse and enjoy.

Gabe will kill me for this picture.

Look how cute and little they look
