Danni's Room

I have really been nesting lately.  And today after I clean up the house I thought why not get Danni's room ready?  We only have about a month left so I might as well get it done.  Of course my friend Bonnie helped me paint it.  I love this soft green.  It was a great choice!!

So I needed a small cheap dresser for Danni's room and I found one on Ikea for super cheap and it was made from real pine not that fake wood.  So when it came I just put it in Danni's room and left it there in the box.  Today I finally got the nerve to open and put together.  Can I just say that Ikea thinks people have Popeye arms because some of those screws were murder to get in all the way.  They give you that tiny allen wrench and think that will be enough.  I tired to find the bit for Corey's drill but the size I needed was of course the one that was lost.  So I was stuck doing it by hand.  I thought I was going to put myself in labor getting some of those in.  But once done I love it.  It came this way so I can do what I want with it.  I am still deciding if I want to stain it or paint it.  For now it will just stay unfinished till I figure out what I want.  But I was just proud that everything fit together perfectly.

Snow anyone?  I know everyone up North got tons over the past couple of days, and we got a small amount Christmas Eve but it decided to snow again today.  Makes me glad I am pregnant because I really can't go out in this mess.  My mom made me promise.

Here are pictures of Danni's room.  I still have some stuff I want to do with decor but it will come little by little.  The portacrib is in the center of the room because Corey doesn't want it in ours until Dannie actually gets here.  I was learning how to put it together and just decided to leave it up for now.

Christmas 2012

I just can't believe how fast Christmas came and went.  We really did have a great Christmas this year.  I feel so blessed to have so many things in my life.  I am sorry the pictures are all out of order, but Blogger makes it so difficult to just download that I am just happy that I got them all on there.

For Christmas Eve we let the kids decorate gingerbread houses.  Although they were really graham cracker houses.  We then watched some church video's on the true meaning of Christmas and talked about the birth of Christ in Luke.  Corey did a great job of reminding the kids what the true meaning of Christmas was.  Then we ended with watching How To Train your Dragon which the kids love.

Santa came and was very generous this year.  The kids were up at 5am but we told them not to wake us up till 6.  So they scouted out the presents and who knows what else while we slept.  Finally at 6 we got up and made our way downstairs.  I like to do like my Mom and open one gift at a time.  It makes Christmas last that much longer.  It was wonderful.  All the kids loved what they got and I think all of them at one point during the day told me this was the best Christmas ever.  Of course they say that every year, but it is always nice to hear it.  I just kept thinking we will have 5 kids next year and that Danni will almost be a year old.  Makes it seems surreal, but it also makes me excited to know I am almost done.

We hope everyone had a great Christmas this year!!

Corey surprised me with a pearl necklace this year.  It was so pretty.
Lexie got another doll this year and carries them everywhere.
 Lexie's finished house.
This is what she asked for the most..a mp3 player and she was excited.
 Logan and his house
Hailey in her mess.  Notice the Dora house and the dress up clothes.  It was a mess.
Hailey also got a Leap pad and I was trying to figure it out.  I love how we both look.
The kids right before we opened presents.
 Got my new necklace on.
As I was scrolling through all the pictures Corey took there were at least 5 like this one.  Butt shots.  My butt looks huge, but it makes me feel better knowing I am basically 9 months in this picture.
Hailey in her cute pj's my mom gave her.
Hailey and her house (the boys made it for her)
What Hailey really wanted, her Dora house.
 Gabe's house.
Lexie gave me this card and I was laughing so hard as i read it.
 Posing for a picture.
The boys got airsoft guns for Christmas and they were pretty stoked.
What the boys really wanted, their own Xbox and Xbox live.
Everyone in their PJ glory.  I love this picture.

You Know That Feeling....

I had the best day today....that all good feeling when you own both of your cars straight out.  Paid off our Pilot today and it feels so liberating.  I wonder what it would feel like to pay off a house......

Plays and Recitals Oh My....

This past week were were busy busy with lots of activities that the kids were involved in.  They do a lot of plays here, which I think is great.  The kids always get excited to try out.  Gabe landed a part in his play and had some nice lines he spoke.  He was so excited that he was wired with his own mic.  He played his part really well.  It was actually really entertaining, which in the past has not always been the case.  Well done Gabber, we love you.

Lexie also had her dance recital this past Saturday.  She is just so graceful and she did such a great job.  We were really proud of her.  We just wished her actual dance was longer than a minute and that she was being taught more technique, but what do you expect for living in the middle of nowhere in Wyoming.  This is the only time I allow her to wear make-up is when she is performing, and I had a fast forward moment to teenage years and had a heart attack.  She will be so pretty and I am not sure if I am ready for the whole dating and teen drama.  She always takes such great pictures.

32 weeks

I have not posted in such a long time I feel a little guilty.  If my days were hectic and I just couldn't find the time then I would understand.  But that is not the case.  I have loads of time, which of most I spend sleeping on the couch or baking.  Nothing really exciting to blog about.  The kids are so busy this coming week and the next with Christmas parties, plays and concerts I feel like the evenings are never going to calm down.  And to top it off my boys want to do wrestling this year.....what???  Since when do they like that?  Oh well, I told them as long as we didn't have to travel 4 hours for a match we could look into it.  Living in WY has its perks but also its setbacks like having to travel for all sports.

So I am finally in the home stretch of this pregnancy.  I am going every two weeks now and baby seems to be doing fine.  I was a little shocked at this last appointment that I had gained weight but my belly was measuring two weeks behind.  So that tells me that the weight must not be baby...lol.  I asked if this was cause for concern and they assured me it was not.  That all babies grow at different rates and that I looked just fine.  I over worry as it is I don't need to add on top of that.  I still walk for an hour 3 times a week and then do crossfit on the off 3 days.  I am getting slower and things are getting harder to do, but I am happy that I can at least get out there and do something.  My Dr. is still pretty sure that my delivery should go quickly and I am just going to agree with him and hope for that too....

Belly shot at 32 weeks, plus a little turd in the background.

It seems every time I get pregnant I get to this stage and just feel extra frumpy.  It is not fun to go clothes shopping because you just look round and weird in everything you put on.  One time I cut my hair super short and then regretted it.  I learned my lesson this time.  But I did have my friend here Jaelynn color my hair which I actually really like the darker color.  I do have some layers in there too and my hair was in desperate need of a trim anyways.

In my house cookies go super fast.  I make a batch and then after at the most 3 days they are gone.  I have making cookies down to an art form that I am pretty sure no one else can master.  They taste so dang good I have a hard time just having one cookie fresh out of the oven, it often turns into one every batch out of the oven.  And my little shadow (I kid you not she follows me everywhere) is always wanting to help me.  So she sits on the counter and basically just gets into trouble.  But she is such a cutie and says the funniest things that I secretly don't mind that I can't even wash myself in the shower without help (this also gets really interesting).  I am nervous she will have the hardest time adjusting to baby when she comes.  I am hoping it will be smooth though.
She did this face all on her own...I love it.
Can't you just sense the oozing cuteness?  Maybe that is the secret ingredient in my cookies!!
