George

Well, today was another eventful day. I finally had to get Roxy put down at the vets office. No one would adopt her and all the shelters were full. So I had to make the hard decision and do the right thing for our family. Logan took it the hardest, and I just couldn't stand it. So we went down to the shelter here and looked at some pups they had. We adopted a 6 month old dog named George. He is such a sweet heart and never barks. He is a little wild outside when we play and he jumps on the kids a lot. But we are working on that. He is great inside and is just so relaxed. We have his appointment on Friday to get him neutered and he already has all his shots and tests done for this year. I will post a picture later, but he is sleeping right now and I don't want to disturb him. But hopefully this story will have a happier ending.

Had to get rid of Roxy

Well true to my luck as a pet owner we had to get rid of Roxy. She turned out to be very aggressive with the kids (barking and advancing) and then she tried to bite Corey last night. It has been hard for me because she is very loving towards me, but my kids are way more important. Even though Logan is terrified of her, he was really upset that we had to get rid of her. So Corey has promised as soon as we find a good fit, we will get a puppy instead. That way we can raise it to be more socialized. So farewell to Roxy, I hope that she finds a better home.

Roxy

Well yesterday I finally talked Corey into letting me get a dog. Her name is Roxy and she is a two year old Boxer mix. She is so wonderful with the kids and loves to be loved on. It has rained so much that I have kept her inside with us. She is house trained and crate trained which makes it so nice and easy on me. She is a great addition to our family and we can't wait for everyone to meet her.

Dress Up

This evening after the kids bath the boys went into Lexie's room and they all got dressed up in Lexie's dress clothes. I thought they looked so cute walking around the house in little high heels. At least the boys are fair about balancing dress up with guns. Notice how good Gabe's pose it. He loves doing the splits. I just had to laugh at him.

Swimming on the 4th

Yesterday we went swimming together as a family. The kids love it when Dad comes because he tends to be a little more crazy than mom. Logan actually is getting pretty good at putting himself out there and trying to swim. The other two are scared to death of the water. We stayed for a couple of hours, in which time Corey was the only one who got a sunburn because he is so white.

Fireworks

Yesterday night we went to some fireworks at the Broken Arrow Country Club with my parents and my sister-in-law (Sally) and my niece and nephew. It was so much fun. We of course had hot dogs and watermelon. Then the kids got a chance to just hang out and have fun. The fireworks were pretty good and the kids just thought they were the best thing ever. We had so much fun.

Muscle Up

Well after I was done working out the kids wanted to flex with mom. So we took some flexing pictures. Logan actually took the picture of me. I was really impressed at how still he was. Boy do I have some strong kids.
